Application: MOLCEL® ETH is commonly used as a film-forming agent to create protective coatings which help mask taste and improve patient compliance in tablet manufacturing. Additionally it is used as a thickening and suspending agent in oral and topical suspensions.

We follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and adhere to international regulatory standards to ensure quality consistency with continuous supply.

1 Appearance It occurs as white or yellowish-white powder or granular powder.

(A) Infrared absorption spectrophotometry.
(B) Examine chromatogram.
3 Solubility It is practically insoluble in water soluble in methylene chloride and in a mixture of 20 g of ethanol (96 %) and 80 g of toluene, slightly soluble in ethyl acetate and in methanol, practically insoluble in glycerol (85%) and in propylene glycol. The solutions may show a slight opalescence.
4 Acidity or alkalinity Specified test. The solution is red.
5 Acetaldehyde Not more than 100 ppm.
6 Chlorides Not more than 0.1%.
7 Loss on drying Not more than 3.0%.
8 Sulfated ash Not more than 0.5%.
9 Assay Not less than 44.0 % and not more than 51.0 % of ethoxy (-OC2H5) groups (dried substance).

PACKAGING

MOLCEL® ETH is packed in HDPE bag or HDPE drum with double PE liners inside and is provided with a barcoded label and a tamper-evident seal.

SHELF LIFE, STORAGE AND PACKING

The shelf life is 3 years. Preserve in well-closed containers.
