MOLCEL® HEC is a water-soluble non-ionic cellulose ether widely known as Hydroxyethyl Cellulose. It is used as a thickening agent, stabilizer and binder in pharmaceutical formulations, owing to its excellent compatibility, safety profile and functional versatility across dosage forms.

3 Solubility It is soluble in hot and cold water giving a colloidal solution, practically insoluble in acetone in ethanol (96 %) and in toluene.

7 Aldehydes Not more than 20 ppm expressed as glyoxal.

PACKAGING

MOLCEL® HEC is packed in HDPE Bag or HDPE drum with double PE liners inside and is provided with a barcoded label and a tamper-evident seal.

SHELF LIFE, STORAGE AND PACKING

The shelf life is 3 years. Preserve in well-closed containers.
